T.E.A.M.S., the Technology-Enriched Academy for Mathematics and Science at Teaneck High School, is a special Honors and Advanced Placement program for motivated students interested in pursuing an integrated study of mathematics, science, computer science, and engineering.
The T.E.A.M.S. program began twenty years ago at Teaneck High School and has provided students in the program an opportunity to study a challenging mathematics, science, and computer science curricula with an emphasis on problem based learning in a personal and supportive environment. Heavy emphasis is placed on science, the use of various forms of technology, and computer programming in the course of study.
The teachers in the program this year (2022-2023) are Mr. Jeff Slominsky (Computer Science 1 Honors, Grade 9), Ms. Yaneth Mesa (Biology Honors, Grade 9), Ms. Stephanie Alblas (TEAMS 9 STEAM Honors, Grade 9), Mrs. Sharon Bellin (Algebra 1/Geometry Honors, Grade 9), Mr. Shaun Reilly (Computer Science 2 Honors, Grade 10), Ms. Esther Seo (Chemistry Honors, Grade 10), Ms. Adina Lefkowitz (Algebra 2/Trigonometry Honors, Grade 10), and Mr. Richard Rodda (English Honors, Grade 10). The guidance counselor is Ms. Beth Fleischer. The Administrator is Mr. Rolando Monserrat.
All T.E.A.M.S. courses for the first two years in the TEAMS Program are Honors courses.
