THS’ Jusma Signs with Rutgers

THS’ Jusma Signs with RutgersTeaneck High School’s Sebastian Jusma will be joining the incoming class at Rutgers University. He will be continuing his academic and athletic career as a Scarlet Knight. Congrats Sebastian! 
Whittier Student Wins Tang Math Challenge January 2022 

Whittier School's kindergarten student, Setareh Torres Luna, was selected as the winner for her grade in the Tang Math's New Year's Challenge
Whittier School's kindergarten student, Setareh Torres Luna, was selected as the winner for her grade in the Tang Math's New Year's Challenge - which had over 2000 entries nationwide.  Whittier Mathematics Enrichment Teacher, Ms. Kim Sullivan, has spearheaded Whittier's participation in the challenges this year. TPS/Fairleigh Dickinson University STEM Programs

At the January 2022 Board Meeting, the district recognized 20 students who successfully completed the fall Fairleigh Dickinson University STEM programs:
  • Girls Exploring Engineering STEM Program (9 middle school students)
  • Computing and Security Enrichment Outreach Program (4 high school students)
  • Technical Enrichment Outreach Program (3 high school students)
  • Mathematics Enrichment Through Applications STEM Program (4 high school students)
Congratulations to all of these outstanding achievers - and thank you to our staff and partners at FDU.


TPS/Fairleigh Dickinson University Summer Middle College/Dual Enrollment Program 

At the October Board Meeting, the district recognized 24 students and 4 teachers who participated in the district’s Fairleigh Dickinson University Summer Middle College/Dual Enrollment Program which took place virtually June 28 through July 30, 2021.  In this program, Teaneck High School students had an opportunity to earn college credits by registering for 1 dual enrollment course to earn 3 college credits and  5 THS elective credits. This is the third year in a row that we have offered this outstanding opportunity for our students.  This year’s summer courses were Financial Planning, World Cultures, Introduction to Psychology and Introduction to Creative Writing.
