ALL STUDENTS WILL BE RECEIVING FREE MEALS DURING THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR. EVEN THOUGH THE DISTRICT IS PROVIDING FREE MEALS WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE PARENTS TO FILL OUT THE SCHOOL MEAL APPLICATION TO DETERMINE STATE FUNDING, P-EBT REIMBURSEMENTS, AND ANY ADDITIONAL BENEFITS THAT MAY BECOME AVAILABLE FROM THE STATE.

All Teaneck children may eat lunch in school. In addition, breakfast and lunch are available at all schools. Maschio’s Food Service, Inc. has been retained by the Board of Education as its food service management company for the 2021-2022 school year.

Did you know your child’s school lunch is age-appropriate by design and includes a wide variety of healthy options like low-fat milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, and whole grains? We take great pride in being able to offer your children healthy food choices so that they can fuel their bodies to get them through the school day and beyond! Meals are offered at no charge for all students again this school year due to continued USDA funding. Money may still be placed in student accounts for a la carte, milk, extra entrée items since these items can only be purchased with funds in the student account. This is the preferred method to minimize the handling of cash. Register for an online payment account www.myschoolbucks.com

The high school and middle schools use a personalized identification system through which students scan their ID badges or use a PIN code to purchase lunch/breakfast items. This enables them to buy items whether using their pre-paid account or paying in cash.

For more information, please contact Aneesa Baig, Executive Assistant to the Board Administrator/Board Secretary, (201) 833-5511 and/or Kristin Appel, Food Service Director, (201) 833-5417 (Sept-June).
