Whittier 2012-2013 Progress Targets Action Plan
The New Jersey Department of Education has modified their system of measuring and reporting the progress of schools in achieving yearly growth, as determined by state assessments, graduation rate and Advanced Placement participation rates. Schools at highest risk are classified as Priority or Focus Schools. Any school that did not meet the progress target for the 11-12 school year, but is not a Focus or Priority School, is required to summarize and post the elements of the school strategic plan that address how Title I resources will be used to support student academic growth.
Bryant School does participate in state assessments and therefore did not have state-assigned target goals. Hawthorne, Lowell, Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Teaneck High School met their target goals. Benjamin Franklin Middle School and Whittier School did not meet their target goals. The links below are to their summarized school plans for improvement.
