Holy Name Vaccine Clinic for TPS Students: November 30

November 18, 2021

Dear Teaneck Parents/Guardians & Students,-vaccines

The holidays are upon us and COVID cases are expected to rise over the next few weeks.

The good news is that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is now available for all children, 5 and older. Whether you are considering or undecided about having your children vaccinated, we encourage you to review the following resources:

1.)    Frequently Asked Questions for Parents/Guardians About COVID-19 and the Vaccines:  FAQ on Vaccines for Children
2.)    COVID-19 Vaccine for Children & Teens (CDC Information):  Vaccine for Children & Teens

We are also pleased to announce that TPS and Holy Name Medical Center have once again partnered to host a unique “TPS Student Vaccine Clinic” (for children ages 5 - 17).  This vaccine clinic will take place on Tuesday, November 30 at Benjamin Franklin Middle School cafeteria (1315 Taft Road - park & enter on the Taft Road side) from 4 pm to 7 pm.  As this is a two-dose vaccine, the second shot will be administered at the same location on Tuesday, December 21.

Advance registration is required and appointment slots (for ages 5-17 only) are now available: Holy Name Medical Center  (Please make sure to register on this special TPS URL for the November 30 event at BFMS).  See the flyer below for more details.

I hope you will take advantage of this special opportunity and I assure you that we will do our very best to make sure your child/children feel comfortable at our school location.  Please keep in mind that parents will need to be present.

Thank you for your consideration as we strive to keep everyone safe and in school.

Sincerely,

Dr. Christopher Irving, Superintendent of Schools
