TEANECK PUBLIC SCHOOLS AMONG BEST FOR GRADES K-8 IN NEW JERSEY

US News & World Report Ranking Places Lowell Elementary School in Top 22%

TEANECK, New Jersey, October 21, 2021 — In its October 2021 ranking of the top elementary and middle schools in the nation, US News & World Report ranked Teaneck schools among the best in the state of New Jersey.

The Report rated each school on math and reading proficiency scores, and included demographic information as well as student/teacher ratios. Lowell Elementary led the district’s schools with a score that ranked in the top 22% of all elementary schools.  All of Teaneck’s schools were ranked within the top 45% of New Jersey’s 2,085 elementary and middle schools (kindergarten through grade 8).

“Since we began the implementation of our five year District Strategic Plan in 2019, we have been focused on enhancing our educational offerings and improving student supports,” said Dr. Christopher Irving, Superintendent of Teaneck Public Schools. “I am very proud of what we have accomplished so far (see the March 2021 Strategic Plan update:  Strategic Plan Progress Presentation); and more importantly, am excited to see how these initiatives are helping our children realize their full potential and have every opportunity for a promising future.”
