DREAMS-7th and 8th grade Girls
Seventh and eighth grade girls in this advisory group meet with BFMS School Counselor and Anti-Bullying Specialist, Ms. Eve Klein, two to three times per month after school. DREAMS stands for determination, responsibility, excellence, achievement, motivation, and success. There will be a D.R.E.A.M.S. leadership team who will co-plan the workshops with Ms. Klein. D.R.E.A.M.S. girls have the opportunity to watch, listen, reflect, discuss, and learn from each other. Topics for these interactive workshops may include relational aggression, body image and the media, peer pressure, relationships, communication skills, goal setting, and self-esteem. In addition, we partner with the Teaneck High School HEAL girls, who come to BFMS to facilitate high school readiness/leadership workshops. The girls also do community outreach to a local nursing home.
