Greeting Benjamin Franklin Middle School Community,
We want to welcome you all to Benjamin Franklin Middle School whether you are a returning or new student, and or family. The challenges that have shaped our work experience for the past year and a half provided us all with a degree on introspection as it relates to teaching, learning and leading. As I continue to share, "Challenges are opportunities turned inside out!" At Benjamin Franklin Middle School, we look forward to examining these opportunities to further embrace the work we do as educators.
As we begin another school year, we are forward thinking as a school and district. Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) will guide much of our work as we assist with our learners' transition back to in-person instruction. We could not possibly dedicate this critical time to our students, and not our staff. The leadership team, our district, and other partners will continue to provide us with the tools to gauge the well-being of all stakeholders.
We are proud of the work of our learners have done during the pandemic. We look forward to seeing this work up close now that we are back in the building. We are also excited about welcoming our next cohort of 5th graders to BFMS. There has been a great deal of teaching, leading, learning, and embracing new strategies that support 21st century teaching and learning. We look forward to moving forward with the work we've captured in our hybrid/remote learning models.
As always, I want to, again, thank the community of Teaneck Public Schools for its continued support of Benjamin Franklin Middle School. We are looking forward to fulfilling our mission to provide students with an exceptional and competitive education that will prepare each of them for their tomorrow… TODAY!
Thank you and have an amazing year,
Principal, Benjamin Franklin Middle School
