Kindergarten Curriculum

Your child will follow the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for (K).

Students use a balanced literacy curriculum, Benchmark Literacy; a standards-based math program, Eureka Math; Science Dimensions and Writer’s Workshop, Units of Study, and Fundations, a multisensory and systematic phonics, spelling, and handwriting program.

All curricula encompass a variety of strategies to appropriately serve a population that is diverse, with a wide range of abilities.

Pre-K Curriculum

Your child will follow the New Jersey Student Pre-School Teaching and Learning Standards. To meet the standards, preschoolers will use Tools of the Mind Curriculum. The curriculum supports children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development with a special emphasis on the development of executive function and self-regulation. One very effective and foundational Tool of the Mind is blending learning with play. Children love to play and learning while having fun is often more effective than traditional classroom work. Creativity and imagination stimulate a desire to learn more and apply what is learned in real-life situations.
