During & After School Care Programs for Families

Attention TPS Parents/Guardians:  We know that many of you are in need of childcare services during and after the school day - in some cases, both.  Please know that we are working hard to develop a "Drop-in Program" for during the school day and a modified SACC program for after school.  Online registration will be released by the end of next week and we are hoping to start both programs by Monday, September 21.  These programs will run through the first marking period (November 12) and then depending upon the district's go-forward school plans, will be modified accordingly.

The pilot "Drop-in" program will be free but limited to specific enrollment criteria (e.g. parents who work in essential roles and have no other childcare option or our free & reduced lunch families). We will have specific social-distancing requirements and will be limiting this program to 100 children (kinder - grade 8) at two designated locations - Bryant & Whittier (50 at each). This program will run from 8 am - 3 pm.

If your pre-k through grade 8 child requires after school care, you will be able to select that option and pay the appropriate fee through MySchoolBucks. The SACC program runs until 6 pm but will not be available on Fridays as our students will have half days on Fridays.

We appreciate your patience and will get this information to you by Friday, September 4.  For more information, please contact Claire Drootin at [email protected].  Thank you.
