Teaneck Public Schools is excited to announce its pilot partnership with Soluna, a digital platform designed to provide teens and young adults with essential mental health support. Funded by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, Soluna offers evidence-based, zero-cost services to students in Bergen County, including those within Teaneck’s community.
Soluna offers a variety of mental health resources aimed at supporting students ages 13-18, available at no cost to schools or families. The platform includes 1:1 coaching and counseling sessions with licensed professionals, self-guided tools such as articles and mindfulness activities, and peer support forums where teens can connect in a safe, anonymous space. With services available in both English and Spanish, Soluna helps address the mental health needs of underserved students, ensuring they have access to support when they need it most.
Teens using the app can schedule counseling sessions or drop into text-based coaching anytime, making it easier for students to access care outside of traditional school hours. In addition, Soluna’s peer support forums provide a moderated space for students to share experiences and offer support to one another.
This partnership marks a significant step in Teaneck Public Schools’ ongoing efforts to enhance the wellbeing of its students by supplementing behavioral health services with preventative care. With Soluna’s services, Teaneck students now have greater access to the mental health resources they need, helping them build resilience, manage stress, and thrive academically and personally.
The Soluna app is available to students at Teaneck Public Schools and other schools in Bergen, Gloucester, Union, and Middlesex counties. It provides crucial support for mental health in a convenient, accessible, and confidential format, helping students build the skills they need to manage life’s challenges with confidence. Teaneck is proud to be part of this initiative and looks forward to its positive impact on the community.
