Teaneck High Students Visit Washington DC and the Holocaust Museum

On February 26, a bus with Teaneck High students headed for the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC.

Since we were ahead of schedule, we called our congressman, Josh Gottheimer, who arranged for an aide to meet the students.   The group was then treated to a wonderful, guided tour of the Capitol, the Rotunda, and was even invited into the gallery of the House to watch the legislature in session.

Afterward, the tour through the Holocaust Museum was a riveting and emotional experience.   This yearly visit never fails to have a powerful effect as the history of the terrible era of the Holocaust is vividly displayed.

Leaving the Museum, under a clear sky, the group walked along the National Mall, past the Washington Monument and up the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial, which marked a memorable end to a very memorable trip.

We thank Teaneck High for making this amazing trip possible.
