THS Activism Club is Organizing and Mobilizing

On March 14, 2018 Teaneck High School took part in the National School Walkout thanks to the organizing efforts of the THS Activism Club.  The positive spirit of the day made a huge impact on the community.  As a result, members of the Activism Club had the opportunity to interface with elected officials and advocates.  In the weeks that followed the walkout, our activists were invited to a forum on ending gun violence with US Senator Cory Booker and an equal pay bill signing with Governor Phil Murphy and Senator Loretta Weinberg.  These opportunities are the result of effective organizing and elevating the collective voice.  We are proud of our students' activism and civic participation.
