The second graders of Lowell School shared their "Journey Around The World" project showcasing their cultural experiences. Invited to the presentation were the Administrators, parents, fellow classmates and staff. Some students chose to dress in traditional clothing representing their country as part of their presentation..

Congratulations Ms. Ryerson and Mr. Infante, PE teachers, and Lowell school on surpassing their goals for the Jump Rope for Heart event. A total of $6, 214.17 was raised by students, staff and through on-line donations. A check in the amount of $6,214.17 will be sent to the American Heart Association.
Following Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's example of contributing to communities, the second grade classes completed a community service act in his honor. They donated items to the organization, Shelter Our Sisters.
The Kindergarten class participated in a Science Fair. Projects and experiments covered a wide variety of topics ranging from the solar system, life cycles, surface tension and density. Parents, grandparents, and other Lowell students visited the faiir. It was an enriching experience for all!
Third grade students celebrated the end of their information writing unit with a Publisher's Party. Students in Mrs. Drelich, Ms. Hondros, and Mr. Hiel's classes presented their completed works to parents, friends, and teachers. Some of the topics covered by students included animals, foreign countries, sports, and art. Great job third graders.
The first graders in Mrs. Rome's class wanted to do a project to help others in the community. The children made cards that were given to Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels is an organization committed to supporting their senior neighbors to live healthier and more nourished lives in their own homes. The cards will be deliverd for Valentine's Day. They hope to add some smiles to their day.
Students and staff were given health goals and challengs.

The PTO is hosting a fundraiser of Zumba classes for parents and students. The class will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 6:30 pm in the gym.
Monday, March 20th ---Half Day--1:00 pm dismissal. No lunch will be served. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack on that day.

Marking period ends February 3rd and report cards go home on February 10th.
February 14th will be a Half Day of school for Parent Teacher Conferences. 1:00p dismissall. No lunch will be served. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack!

A new fun, learning adventure comes to Lowell School! All 3rd and 4th grades students are invited to join the Recess Art Club. The class, taught by Ms. Meller, will meet during recess on E-days. An interest in drawing, with focus on behavior, as well as a recommendation from classroom teachers were a part of the selection process. Students are encouraged to be responsible, be on time, meet the expectations of the art room and Lowell School and take care of their sketchbook and materials.
WPA of Lowell School provides before and after school child care services for children K-4 for parents with busy schedules. Registration forms, fees and monthly payments for September 2016 and June 2017 is due by August 15, 2016 and no later than August 26, 2016 by 2:00pm.
