Mission

The mission of Teaneck High School is to provide a superior education to its uniquely diverse community by empowering all students to strive for excellence in the academic and affective areas, and by ensuring that all students acquire the tools to become life-long learners and effective citizens through an engaging curriculum and nurturing environment.

Belief Statements
 
We at Teaneck High School Believe That:
 
  • Education must provide the foundation for life-long learning and for fostering a sense of self-worth.
  • Everyone has the right to a safe and secure learning environment that embraces all cultures. 
  • Children have the potential to be successful learners, to take an active role in their learning and to contribute effectively to the school community. 
  • Children are capable of excelling given the opportunity, support and encouragement to do so. 
  • Children have the ability and desire to accept trust and to treat others as they would like to be treated.
  • Dynamic teaching makes for dynamic learning.
  • All members of the school community have inherent worth and dignity and are entitled to mutual respect.
  • A nurturing environment where an inquisitive attitude is encouraged and cultivated is essential for academic and personal success. 
  • An educational climate that values risk-taking as a natural part of the learning process is necessary for continuous improvement.
