Community students can receive free tutoring services from the organization(s) listed below. Programs are open to public, private, charter, and home-schooled students.
Strive Academic Support Program
Strive is an after-school academic coaching program sponsored by the FORUM designed to assist Teaneck High School students in achieving their academic goals.
Strive is staffed by Teaneck High School faculty who assess the academic needs of students and pairs them with a qualified peer academic coach who is trained to assist them with the following:
1. Setting realistic academic goals.
2. Developing action plans to to meet their academic goals.
3. Academically and socially assisting students in the process of meeting their academic goals. (Tutoring, Homework Help, Organization Skills, Advocacy, Communication.)
STRIVE will begin on October 15th.

***The Strive Academic Support Program does not meet on scheduled half days. A full schedule will be given to the student at registration.***Math Adventures/Word Play
– This is a community-based free math and writing enrichment program that takes place on Saturday mornings (10:30 am to noon) from October through April at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 118 Chadwick Road, Teaneck. Students in grades 2 – 12 who attend must bring their school books, notebooks and work with which they need assistance. Parents must register students to participate. Visit https://www.mymawp.org/
