Dear Parents/Guardians, Students and Staff,
For the past few months, I have talked about an important objective for the current school year – the development of a five-year District Strategic Plan that will serve as the blueprint to guide our district in the years to come.
I am pleased to report that our Strategic Plan initiative is now well underway.
First, we selected an outside firm to assist us in the development of this plan. The firm chosen is Performance Excellence Group (PEG) led by Ken Biddle, President/Chief Executive Officer. PEG has been supporting school districts for nearly 20 years; and their expertise in this particular field will be extremely valuable to us during the creation and implementation phases.
Next, we selected our Strategic Planning Committee – comprised of fifteen (15) members who represent various stakeholders (see list attached/below). This committee has already come together for a kick-off meeting on November 28th. As noted in previous communications, the Committee will:
• Set goals that will positively impact the education offered to our students;
• Identify and mobilize resources that can be used to actualize the strategic plan; and
• Serve as advocates for the numerous voices that are present within the Teaneck community.
Your input is essential to this process too!
During the January-February timeframe, PEG will be conducting focus groups with parents, staff and community members. Additionally, we will be issuing an online survey that will enable the entire Teaneck community to provide critical feedback on our Strategic Plan development.
I will continue to keep you apprised on this process; so please continue to visit this page for the latest update. I truly hope that you will take part in this important plan development.
If you have any questions about our Strategic Plan development, please contact me or our Strategic Planning Committee Co-Chair, Ms. Patricia Dent at firstname.lastname@example.org
