POWER Boys is a partnership between Benjamin Franklin Middle School and Community Baptist Church of Englewood. POWER Boys uses a small discussion group format to assist 7th grade boys in improving in the areas of attitude, behavior and/or academic achievement. POWER Boys meets twice/month during lunch/recess. Throughout the course of the group, students meet to discuss topics such as Positive Decision-Making, Leadership, Academic Achievement and Financial Literacy. Students are also challenged to develop a positive plan of action to address a targeted school/community need. At times additional meetings are scheduled to involve students in valuable leadership and/or community service opportunities.

POWER Boys is facilitated by Ms. Powell (BFMS Behaviorist) and Rev. Rohin Beach (Youth Minister at Community Baptist Church of Englewood). Students also have an opportunity to learn from a host of inspirational guest speakers.
