Christopher C. Irving, Ed. D.
Superintendent of Schools

October 15, 2018

Dear Colleagues:

RE: Superintendent’s First 100 Day Plan

Since assuming the role as Teaneck Public Schools’ Superintendent, I have been working diligently on the target areas noted in my “First 100 Day Transitional Plan” (NOTE: Plan was presented to the Board of Education in August 2018).

This 100-Day Plan focused on specific goals such as listening to the needs of our community, assessing District operational and educational needs, conducting professional development for administrators, and filling key administrative positions. It also included the creation of several advisory committees that will provide critical input from various stakeholders – students, faculty, parents of children with special needs, and faith-based organizations. Further, the Plan called for the formation of a committee that would review and make go-forward recommendations regarding the district’s current Student Code of Conduct.

At this time, I am pleased to announce that all elements of this plan have been accomplished; and I will now begin the next phase to develop a new District Strategic Plan, which will feature the district’s vision, mission, and core goals for the next five years.

I would like to thank the Teaneck Board of Education and the entire community for your feedback and support which has enabled the successful completion of the First 100 Day Transitional Plan. I look forward to this next critical phase as we work together to make Teaneck a model in public education.

Sincerely,

Dr. Christopher Irving
